What are the ingredients in Memodyne?
Memodyne contains six active ingredients: L-Arginine, L-Arginine AKG 2:1 Extract, L-Citrulline HCL, L-Citrulline Malate, Niacin (Vitamin B3) and Beta-Alanine. The first four support nitric oxide production for cerebral blood flow, Niacin supplies NAD+ for mitochondrial energy, and Beta-Alanine converts to carnosine for neuronal antioxidant protection. All are delivered in hypromellose vegetable capsules.

Why full disclosure matters
A proprietary blend lists ingredients in descending order of quantity without specifying amounts. This is legal and extremely common, and it allows a manufacturer to include a trace amount of an impressive-sounding compound purely for label appeal — a practice known in the industry as fairy dusting.
Memodyne does not use a proprietary blend. Every ingredient is named individually, which means you can research each compound independently rather than trusting a summary written by the people selling it.
The nitric oxide group
L-Arginine. A conditionally essential amino acid and the direct substrate for nitric oxide synthase. Under normal conditions the body produces enough; under metabolic stress, illness or with advancing age, endogenous production becomes insufficient. Arginine is the entry point to the entire pathway.
L-Arginine AKG 2:1 Extract. Arginine bound to alpha-ketoglutarate in a two-to-one ratio. AKG is itself a Krebs cycle intermediate, and the bond meaningfully improves stability through first-pass hepatic metabolism, which is where a large fraction of free arginine is lost. The practical result is a longer duration of effect from the same nominal dose.
L-Citrulline HCL. Citrulline is converted to arginine in the kidneys, bypassing the liver almost entirely. This is why citrulline supplementation raises plasma arginine more reliably than arginine supplementation does — a counterintuitive but consistently replicated finding. It creates a recycling loop that sustains nitric oxide production between doses.
L-Citrulline Malate. Citrulline paired with malate, another Krebs cycle intermediate. Beyond the shared vasodilation role, malate participates in clearing metabolic by-products including ammonia and lactate. In practical terms this is the ingredient most associated with reduced late-day mental heaviness.
Niacin (Vitamin B3)
Niacin is the only true vitamin in the formula and arguably the most important single ingredient, because it is what makes the other five useful. It is the precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide — NAD+ — which is the coenzyme without which mitochondria cannot complete oxidative phosphorylation.
Neurons consume disproportionate energy. Declining NAD+ availability with age constrains ATP production precisely in the cells least able to tolerate an energy deficit. Supplying niacin addresses the substrate side of that constraint.
Niacin also produces microvascular dilation through a prostaglandin-mediated mechanism. This is the cause of the well-known 'niacin flush' at higher doses — a harmless warming or reddening sensation that some people experience and many do not. It has a genuine functional benefit: dilating the smallest capillaries is what ensures the other ingredients actually reach the tissue.
Beta-Alanine
Beta-alanine is a non-proteinogenic amino acid whose principal role in this formula is as the rate-limiting precursor to carnosine. Carnosine is a dipeptide of beta-alanine and histidine; the body has abundant histidine, so carnosine synthesis is constrained almost entirely by beta-alanine availability.
Carnosine does two things that matter here. It buffers intracellular pH, stabilising the environment in which neurons operate under load. And it directly scavenges reactive carbonyl species — a class of oxidative by-product that cross-links proteins and degrades membrane structure.
A note on the tingling: beta-alanine commonly produces a transient tingling sensation called paraesthesia, usually across the face, neck or hands. It is well documented, entirely harmless, and typically fades within the first week or two of use.

Are the exact dosages listed?
Every ingredient is named on the supplement facts panel of the bottle. We do not publish exact milligram figures on the website because formulations can be adjusted between batches; the panel on your bottle is authoritative.
Is beta-alanine tingling dangerous?
No. Paraesthesia from beta-alanine is a well-documented, harmless sensory effect caused by activation of sensory neurons. It typically diminishes after the first one to two weeks of consistent use.
Can I get these from food instead?
Partially. Arginine and citrulline occur in nuts, seeds, watermelon and meat; niacin in poultry, fish and fortified grains. However, reaching the quantities relevant to the nitric oxide pathway through diet alone is impractical for most people, which is the argument for supplementation.
Is there any allergen risk?
The formula contains no common allergens — no dairy, soy, gluten, nuts or shellfish. If you have specific sensitivities, review the panel on the bottle and consult your physician.
